New York Philharmonic String Quartet
The New York Philharmonic String Quartet comprises four Principal musicians from one of the country’s greatest orchestras: New York Philharmonic Concertmaster Frank Huang, Principal Associate Concertmaster Sheryl Staples, Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps, and Principal Cello Carter Brey. Formed in 2017 during the New York Philharmonic’s 175th anniversary season, all four members have amassed countless prizes and awards and performed as soloists and ensemble members worldwide. Together they form a dream team hailed by The New York Times as “marvelous” and performing with “romantic élan and grace...with utmost taste and technical precision” (Palm Beach Daily News).
Don’t miss this dream team in a program featuring Mozart’s Quartet No. 19 in C Major, Schubert’s String Quartet No. 14 in d Minor, “Death and the Maiden,” and more.
