Grease at Michigan State University has been provided a great opportunity by the authors, Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, and licensing company, Samuel French, to perform the script from the original Broadway production. As a research university and with this new and very unique opportunity in mind, we are presenting this classic piece of Broadway history the way it was originally performed: a well-crafted concept musical providing us with a snapshot of a pivotal moment in American History. We present Grease the way it was originally intended: authentic, unconventional, rebellious, sexual, and aggressive… most of all: rocked and rolled.
