Through the creative process of having charitable giving strategies incorporated within your comprehensive estate plans, you can fulfill philanthropic goals, reduce income taxes, avoid capital gains and estate taxes, retain a life income, increase spendable income, and/or reduce costs of estate settlement, all while enjoying the satisfaction of providing significant future financial support for Wharton Center designated precisely per your wishes.

Wharton Center would be honored to be remembered as a part of your legacy. For more information about planned giving opportunities, please don't hesitate to contact the Development Office at (517) 353-4640. You can also visit the easy-to-understand Guide to Giving at www.givingto.msu.edu for more information.

Leave a lasting legacy by creating or contributing to an endowment at Wharton Center. When you make an endowment gift, your gift is invested. The earnings from endowments are spent annually by Wharton Center in accordance with the terms of the endowment. Because Wharton Center can plan on a fairly consistent contribution from endowment earnings, these gifts provide for the long-term financial success of the organization.

Currently Wharton Center has endowments supporting everything from arts education to musical theatre to jazz performances. Each one of these endowments allows Wharton Center to provide programming that may not be possible without private support.

Renewable Seats are available to donors who make a one-time gift of $50,000 or more to one of Wharton Center's unrestricted endowment funds, donors are entitled to the right-of-first-refusal to four seats of their choice (based on availability) for their personal subscription order during their lifetime. (These seats are for personal use only and cannot be transferred to anyone else.)

View a list of current endowments.

For more information on contributing to an existing endowment or creating your own named endowment, please contact the Wharton Center Development staff at (517) 353-4640.

"We have enjoyed our experiences at Wharton in every dimension, particularly for our family. Our children were engaged in music and music appreciation activities early on, and continue those interests today. Now our 4-year-old grand daughter is following suit and may just out-sing, out-dance, and out-perform us all! We feel very strongly about the importance of giving, and in this case in particular, giving back to a university that has been instrumental in the success of our careers, our children's education and their success. Through Wharton Center's growth and expansion, our hope is such opportunities will be available to people for generations to come."
