Act One School Series
Ages: Grade K-8
The Act One School Series provides curriculum-linked, performing arts enrichment activities for students in grades K-8. Shows produced by nationally touring youth theatre companies bring characters from history and literature to life in one-hour school-day matinees. The lecture-demonstration format of selected shows provides a perfect opportunity to introduce students to cultural music and dance artists from around the world.
For the 2010-2011 School Series, we are proud to present:
- Aesop Bops
- Duck for President: A New Musical
- The Odyssey - The Belly of The Beast
- The Adventures of Harold and the Purple Crayon
- Jazz Kats - Jazz For Kids: Let Freedom Ring
- Romeo and Juliet - Presented by The Acting Company of New York
- Viajes - Performed by Ballet Hispanico
- Ferdinand The Bull: A Musical
- Revelations - Presented by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
