Act One School Series
Ages: Grade K-12
The Act One School Series provides curriculum-linked, performing arts enrichment activities for students in grades K-12. Shows produced by nationally touring youth theatre companies bring characters from history and literature to life in one-hour school-day matinees. The lecture-demonstration format of selected shows provides a perfect opportunity to introduce students to cultural music and dance artists from around the world.
For the 2011-2012 School Series, we are proud to present:
- Yamato - The Drummers of Japan
- Butterfly: The Story of a Life Cycle
- Skippyjon Jones
- The Mayhem Poets
- Are You My Mother?
- Seussical
- Macbeth
- Theory of Mind
- Lakota Sioux Indian Dance Theatre
- Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters – An African Tale
