There is a lot of construction on campus and across Michigan's highways.
Plan to arrive early to make your experience more enjoyable.

Much of Michigan State University's campus is under construction this summer for many different projects. One of those projects directly affects Wharton Center Patrons. Phase 1 of the FRIB - Plant Science Utility Relocation project will shut down Wilson Road from in front of the Plant Biology Building to just before the Wilson Road entrance to the adjoined parking ramp. It will also close down Bogue Street adjacent to Wharton Center. The front drop off will still be accessible through out construction by using the traffic circle at Bogue Street and Shaw Lane.

Some key things to remember about Campus construction

• Patrons are advised to use adjoining parking ramp. Ramp is unaffected by construction.
• Barrier-free parking is available on all levels, ramp clearance 7'6".
• The Front Drop off is still accessible through out construction.
• Bus and oversized vehicle drop off follow signage.

To East Lansing

• FROM NORTH/SOUTH: US 127 to Trowbridge exit.
• FROM WEST: I-96/69 to I-496 to Trowbridge exit.
• FROM NORTH EAST: I-69 to Business 69/Saginaw Highway exit.
• FROM SOUTH EAST: I-96 to Okemos Rd exit.

To Wharton Center Cobb Great Hall | Pasant Theatre

FROM TROWBRIDGE ROAD EXIT

Take Trowbridge Road and follow curve left at Red Cedar. Continue to Shaw Lane and turn right. Proceed through the traffic circle at Bogue Street to continue on Shaw Lane. Turn right into parking ramp entrance OR continue on Shaw Lane and turn right onto Wilson Road. Follow the curve around and turn right into parking ramp entrance.

FROM BUSINESS 69/SAGINAW HIGHWAY EXIT

Take Saginaw to Hagadorn Road. Turn left onto Hagadorn Road and then right onto Shaw Lane. Turn left into parking ramp entrance.

FROM OKEMOS ROAD EXIT

Take Okemos Road north, turn left onto Mt. Hope, and turn right onto Hagadorn Road. Turn left on Shaw Lane and left onto Wilson Road and follow the curve around and turn right into parking ramp entrance.

PARKING

Enter the ramp through the entrance off of Shaw Lane or Wilson Road. This is an MSU public parking ramp adjacent to the Wharton Center. Parking ramp access is for vehicles under 7’6” only. Parking rates are presently $ 1.60 per hour and $5 per vehicle of performance events. All rates are subject to change. Wharton Center does not validate parking for private vehicles attending school performances (teachers, parents, and chaperone cars).
