Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will present the 2009 College of Arts and Letters Signature Lecture at 7:30 p.m., December 2, in Wharton Center’s Great Hall. Since his Academy Award nominated Brooklyn Bridge in 1981, Burns has gone on to research, write, direct, film, edit, and produce numerous acclaimed historical documentaries. He will be appearing at MSU shortly after the release of his latest film, The National Parks: America's Best Idea, a six-episode series that aired on PBS.
