Gayoje is a musical competition for residents in the Lansing area and students who go to Michigan State University. This event is one of the biggest events this year that Korean Student Organization will hold. The first Gayoje was held at the auditorium in 2007 with the theme “Korean Wave,” and the second Gayoje was held at the Wharton center in 2008 with the theme “We Are One”. The Third Gayoje is coming on November 22th, 2009 with the theme ****. The goal of Gayoje is to not only offer an entertaining time but to unite the Korean communities. Lots of talented candidates, who already passed the first audition, will perform in front of many people. There will be jurors who can understand and evaluate their performances from each aspect. The whole event will be held both in Korean and English for both Koreans and non-Koreans. This will be a good chance to see and feel Korean culture directly.
