"A time to laugh … a time to embrace … a time to dance.” - José Limón. Dancing In Our Time, under the artistic direction of Sherrie Barr in joined by choreographers Joni Starr, Carolyn Pavlick and Heather Vaughan Southard. Come and experience a mélange of styles and choreographic premieres. This concert exposes the audience to the gravity defying world of dance and features choreography by Provost Visiting Faculty Artist, Jin-Wen Yu. Sherrie Barr’s choreography is supported through the Intramural Research Grants Program. The dance will feature elders of the Burcham Retirement Community Center who have been working with student dancers since September 2008. Artistic Director pre-show talk Sunday, February 28, 2010 @ 1:15 pm. Talk back on Thursday, February 25, 2010 following the performance.
