“Simply Wonderful! Beguiling Theatrical Magic!” hails the New York Post for the breathtaking new production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s SOUTH PACIFIC. A stunning reinvention produced by Lincoln Center Theater, SOUTH PACIFIC swept the 2008 Tony Awards®, winning seven honors including Best Musical Revival and Best Director for Bartlett Sher. Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. The beloved score’s songs include “Some Enchanted Evening,” “I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair,” “This Nearly Was Mine” and “There is Nothin’ Like a Dame.” USA Today cheers, “Gorgeous! SOUTH PACIFIC doesn’t just float; it soars!”
Based on James Michener’s Pulitzer Prize winning book Tales of the South Pacific, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s SOUTH PACIFIC has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan.

Wow amazing show tuesday night! Every bit as spectacular as the Broadway production! The cast is first rate and the full orchestra was delightful! I might have to see it again!

Loved the show last night! I caught myself mesmorized by the storyline and fixated on the set design. Even this morning I started wanting to know more behind the characters and where they came from in the U.S. That's how good the acting was. It captured me. Thanks Wharton!

I haven't seen the show yet. The videos I've seen make it look like a great show! And it probably says something if Matthew Morrison was in it before joining Glee. Opens in 5 days!

I think the best part about this production is that there will be a full live orchestra, as it should be!

I absolutely loved this show. I am not a big Rodgers and Hammerstein fan but this production is absolutely breathtaking and flawless. Best money I've spent in the theatre in years.
